A Luxury Portrait Experience
For years, the term ‘masterpiece’ has been used to describe the highest level of affluence and expertise a brand could offer. That’s the same philosophy behind NP Design & Photography’s newest portrait line.
Inspired by classic artists like John Singer Sargent, as well as today’s most innovative photographers like Vanity Fair’s Mark Seliger and Annie Leibovitz, these portraits are true statement pieces. Like all the finest things, this designer line of portraits is luxurious, and limited.
How it Works
1. DESIGN CONSULTATION
At NP Design & Photography, we begin with the end in mind. This means that well before your photo session, you’ll come to the studio to meet Nate for a close look at all of the beautiful fine art options available and discuss how you envision these portraits will hang in your home. Using photos of your walls and state of the art software, Nate will factor in your décor, your artistic taste, and your budget to create your perfect collection of portraits. You’ll leave your Design Session with an idea of what you would like everyone to wear. Between then and your Portrait Session, Nate is available to consult about your outfits via phone, email, or zoom meeting. Together, you will finalize outfits at least one week prior to your session so there’s plenty of time for last minute changes and dry cleaning.
2. WARDROBE COLLABORATION
You’ll leave your Design Consultation with an idea of what you would like everyone to wear. About a week prior to your session, Teresa & Nate will visit your home to finalize outfits as well as view wall space. This will leave plenty of time for outfit changes as well as wall painting and room re-deisgn. It’s this extra personal touch that will leave you feeling cared for so you can focus on what matters most…your family.
3. PORTRAIT SESSION
The big day is here! You can arrive confident knowing that you and Nate have collaborated on wardrobe and final products. We know how stressful it can be to have everyone in the right mood and looking their best on the day of your portrait session! Rest assured that NP Design & Photography, in their calm, unhurried, professional way, will bring out the best in all of you and have you asking yourself why you were so worried. All that’s left to do is relax and enjoy the session! Go ahead and book a special lunch or dinner to celebrate. Our hope is that the experience of having your family photographed today is a memory you will cherish as much as you do the portraits themselves.
4. VIEW + ORDER
Approximately two weeks after your portrait session, you’ll return to the studio for your Unveiling Appointment with Nate. Your portraits will be presented on the big screen and you’ll see your NP Design & Photography design plan come to life. Our most satisfied clients often purchase an upgraded Family Album, several pieces of finished luxe wall art (framed, canvas wrap, acrylic or even printed on metal), mounted gift prints for relatives and friends, and Social Media images. Nate will have wall and album designs ready for you based on what you discussed at your Design Consultation. Your complete order will be placed at this meeting, so we highly encourage you to have all decision-makers present and make childcare arrangements.
5. PRODUCTION
Once your order is placed, we oversee every step of the production process, ensuring that the project is perfect in every way and delivered on time (4-8 weeks). Whether we’re creating wall portraits or fine art albums we’ve chosen the best archival materials and take the time to design custom work that best suits the images you’ve chosen.
6. DELIVERY AND INSTALLATION
After investing in this collection of beautiful portraits, the final step is having us deliver and install it on the wall for your, spaced and balanced to perfection. All that’s left to do now is stand back and enjoy the view.
5. UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN
Updating your portraits and wall art every few years as your family grows and changes is an important part of the art experience. This not only documents your children through all of the important stages of life, but also serves as a reflection of who they are now. It is our great pleasure to create a fine art retrospective of your changing family for years to come.
